Series awarded with Geisendörfer Preis
What a sensational week for Fritzi!!! First the nomination for the International Emmy® Awards, then a wonderful screening in front of a full house at the Schlingel Festival, and finally, yesterday, the presentation of the Geisendörfer Award.
Both of our series – “Fritzi and Sophie – A borderless Friendship” and “On Fritzi´s Traces – What was it like in the GDR?” – were among seven productions to receive the Protestant Media Prize yesterday evening. Directors Ralf Kukula and Matthias Bruhn were present at the award ceremony at Norddeutscher Rundfunk in Hamburg and recieved the awards on behalf of Thomas Meyer-Hermann and Andrea Gentsch, who were also involved in directing the projects.
We would like to share this excerpt from the jury's statement with you: “With ”On Fritzi´s Traces – What was it like in the GDR?“, the directors have created the most innovative and courageous production of the 2024 children's television season.” For this, we say THANK YOU!
